The Mask and I!

Why the mask? Well, I wear the mask as a symbol of resilience, transformation, and mystery—protecting my identity while letting my art and message speak for themselves. It represents the unseen struggles, the rebirth of creativity, the power of love for faith, the struggles that I have endured, the love for life the passion for creating, and the creativity that keeps me alive In a world that often judges before it listens.

Connection Is My Specialty

Beyond all the tools and technology, my greatest gift as an educator is the ability to truly connect with my students. I don’t just teach—I listen, I understand, and I build trust. Whether I’m in a classroom or behind a screen, I create a space where students feel seen, heard, and valued. That connection becomes the foundation for growth, creativity, and transformation.

The Designer

A Visionary Designer with Passion & Purpose

As a designer, I blend creativity, innovation, and emotion into every piece I create. My work is more than just art—it’s a story, a connection, and a reflection of my journey. With a deep love for nature, color, and meaning, I craft unique, one-of-a-kind designs that inspire and captivate. Every creation is infused with passion, resilience, and the pursuit of excellence, ensuring that my art leaves a lasting impact on those who experience it.

THE ANCIENTS ARE IN MY BLOOD!

WHERE I GREW UP!

Rooted in History, Inspired by Legacy

Growing up in a small town in Southeastern Arizona, I was surrounded by the echoes of ancient civilizations—the Mogollon, Mimbres, Paquimé, Trincheras, and Salado—whose artistry and trade shaped the land. Raised on a historic ranch, I inherited the resilience and traditions of the first ranchers of the Americas. My lineage traces back to the Spanish explorers who mapped the New World for the Queen of Spain and the ancient native Americans of these lands, connecting me to a legacy that stretches back over 180,000 years. This deep cultural foundation fuels my creativity, blending the wisdom of the past with modern innovation in art and design.

THE ARTIST

Mastery in Art and Pottery: A Legacy of Passion and Craft

Rooted in the vibrant traditions of the Southwest, my journey in art and pottery has been shaped by the teachings of legendary masters like Juan Quezada, Macario Ortiz, Daniel Gonzales, and Jorge Quintana. With my four degrees and 106 credit hours in Visual Communications & Art education, I have mastered both the techniques of the ancients—from my family and grandparents, as well as the Mogollon, Mimbres, Paquimé, Salado and others—and the innovations of modern art. Each piece I create honors this rich history while pushing the boundaries of artistic expression. My work is a celebration of legacy, craftsmanship, and the spirit of artistic mastery.
